My StealthGear holster is absolutely great. Very comfortable, great retention. Check the reviews - this thing far outpaces the Alien Gear holster I started with. They're a bit pricey, and they take a while to get. Check the used market, and you may get lucky. I paid $65 shipped for my "Onyx" IWB version.

DM Bullard makes an IWB/OWB called Dual Carry. Great holster.

Try D M Bullard if you want one holster for both applications.

I have a bravo concealment owb kydex holster that really gets the job done for me. Very concealable when needed but also sturdy, rigid, and comfortable.

Try Vedder Holsters in Florida. They're inexpensive, and very professionally done. Shipping time is less than a week. I have two LightTucks, one QuickDraw, and one LightDraw. I see no need to ever use another holster company. I actually prefer the OWB, but mostly carry the LightTucks. Customer service is also top notch.

Another vote for Vedder. I've been using them off and on for the last two years and have been pleased. For iwb it depends on where I carry to dictate what holster I use. I have several. Alien gear and cross breed make excellent iwb for 4:30 to 3:30 carry with the leather comfort and kydex shell for security or I use a AIWB from hazmat holsters in the appendix position most of the time. All kydex. For owb I use either my desantis holster leather back and kydex shell and I can't think of the name but my model is discontinued. I also use a safariland 7TS ALS holster in tan color it's a good solid rig and takes several mounting systems so I can put on my molle gear or just about anything. Hope this helps! Good luck! Like all of us you will prob go through a lot to find what does and does not work but hopefully you don't have to!

I have the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0 (IWB) and I love it. I actually forget that I'm wearing it. I carry at about 3:30-4:00 position. It's a great holster for the money and it carry's a lifetime warranty and free shell swaps if you decided to change your EDC gun.

Agreed, I have the Cloak Tuck 3.0 IWB as well as their Cloak Mod OWB for my EDC. Love the holsters I wear the IWB mostly and I really do forget that I have it on.

Ditto ^^

Good quality, made in Texas, reversible with two screws, spare hardware is available and the product is an excellent fit.

You didn't specify the model(s) or max price, but if you want something really nice at a not completely crazy price, then check out http://rdwarrenleather.com/index.html

He's a really nice guy who makes truly beautiful holsters at a price point of right around $100. You could easily spend twice that for a holster that looks this good. He has a limited selection of gun models, though.

I have tried several IWB holsters and just could never get comfortable with any of them. I recently bought this Versacarry English Bridle leather Protector Series OWB holster. It is built right here in Texas and it came in 5 days after I ordered it and it is very well built and very inexpensive. I, like many folks, have quite a collection of holsters. This has to rank right up there with the most comfortable. Since my XDs has a Crimson Trace I ordered the size 4. It fits like a snug glove. I did coat the holster inside and out with Neatsfoot oil and put the gun in it over night to allow it to mold the holster. It was dry the next morning.https://www.versacarry.com/versacarry-leather-holsters/

This. Randy makes amazing holsters, and you can select every detail of stitching and detail. He is also very fast. His snap on design is comfortable, convenient and very concealable, but so pretty you won't want to hide it! I have it for my 1911, along with a matched 2 mag carrier. I also have one of his Avenger style holster for my Glock. While just as beautiful, it is not as concealable as the snap on. If I had to redo it, I would order the snap on design for both. He is also very fast. I received my order for 2 holsters and 2 mag carriers in 3 weeks, which is amazing for custom leather work.
