Re: Where do you wear your IWB and why?
4:00 to 4:30 .. At 3:00 I keep bumping into things. It's comfortable and I don't find myself sitting on it

4:00 It doesn't stick out on the side, and I don't have to sit on it. It's within easy reach and fast and it just disappears.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

4:00 position. It's the most comfortable for me.

Appendix carry (so I guess 1:00?). Most concealable, least dramatic draw, accessible to both hands from pretty much any position or situation.

Appendix carry. Very comfortable with the right holster. Also I have more control and it's the most concealed position. With my job I do a lot of bending over and reaching and my shirt never exposes my Glock 19.

May I ask if you have a beer gut? I dont think I could carry a Glock 19 there.cmgee67 wrote:Appendix carry. Very comfortable with the right holster. I don't know about cmgee67, but as for me, as much as I like beer, I don't get the opportunity to drink much of it any more, so no. More of a breakfast taco gut.Glock4ever wrote:May I ask if you have a beer gut? I dont think I could carry a Glock 19 there.cmgee67 wrote:Appendix carry. Very comfortable with the right holster. But like said, bending over or maneuvering around is also easy, and pistol stays concealed. I use a Van Guard from Raven Concealment -- it is basically a trigger guard cover with a belt loop attached. The pistol can move a bit when I move, instead of just sticking me in the thigh or the guy.
[edited to correct possible owner of potential beergut. :) )

Lol no I don't have a beer gut. I use the AIWB from hazmat holsters made here in Texas. They use only the amount of kydex needed to cover the trigger guard and most of the slide and a sweat shield. Never have it digging in my thigh or guy. I prefer OWB open any day but at work and church and other places I don't get that option so I must stay concealed

4:00 to 4:30. I use a White Hat holster.
Re: Where do you wear your IWB and why?
I wear IWB or OWB Vedder Holsters about 3 o'clock with either of my Sig pistols, because I've worn other holsters at that location for almost 19 years. With Vedder Holsters, they hold very close to my side with a 10°-15° tilt, and it's perfectly comfortable under a light shirt or jacket, and quick to draw. Yes, this is a shout-out for Vedder Holsters!

Re: Where do you wear your IWB and why?
4:30 typically with my Alien Gear holster. I've tried Appendix carry a few times, but I have two hang ups.
1- I can't get over the muzzle pointing at me during the day
2- the holster I've tried isn't comfortable. I feel like the gun sits way too high, but if I make it sit lower it jabs me and I have a bruise by the end of the day.
I honestly want aiwb to work for me, because of access and bending over throughout the day. I also am not sure if you can still tuck in your shirt around the appendix position without it showing through.

3:00. I used to always carry IWB with only a little shifting when sitting/standing. When I bought a high ride OWB I now carry this way 99% of the time.

Re: Where do you wear your IWB and why?
it took me several attempts to find a comfortable AIWB setup - the right holster makes all the difference. i still have some days where it's just not at all comfortable but most days i don't really notice it and i love how my back doesn't hurt after driving around all day. it was worth the experimenting. i'm not a sub 32" flat belly dude, but i don't have much hanging over my belt either. i can usually wear 34-36" pants.
also, i never ever reholster. bathroom duty and arming/disarming occur with the gun in the holster. of course, if i ever were to have to draw and/or fire, i would reholster carefully.
