Durty Nelly's San Antonio
Does anyone know if Durty Nelly's (pub/piano bar under the Hilton Palacio Del Rio) is posted 51% or 30.06? I can't find it in the TABC database, but they list another name (Corte Real) at the same address with a blue sign. Texas3006.com has no mention of it.
I understand that the Hilton itself has 30.06 signs, but if I recall correctly Durty Nelly's has a separate entrance.

It's a pub.

Use common sense with any business with the word bar, pub, beer joint, etc on the name.

While that argument sounds good, it doesn't hold water.

You must not get out much. If you don't think a hotel pub/ Irish bar on the river walk will be a 51% then......Pawpaw wrote:While that argument sounds good, it doesn't hold water.

I'm not arguing that one way or the other.Glock4ever wrote:You must not get out much. If you don't think a hotel pub/ Irish bar on the river walk will be a 51% then......Pawpaw wrote:While that argument sounds good, it doesn't hold water.

I just commented on your incorrect logic:

Any business that has those words in it . If you don't think that's a good rule of thumb then you are ignorant.Pawpaw wrote:I'm not arguing that one way or the other.Glock4ever wrote:You must not get out much. The place you mentioned already had TABC issues a few years ago.

You're willing to pull in any red herring to try to support an unsupportable statement, aren't you?
The article you linked had nothing at all to do with TABC or the 51% status.

Guys remember that we're all on the same "team" here. We all want people to lawfully be able to carry their firearms wherever LEGALLY possible. No sense in arguing, the question was answered with the posting of the TABC screenshot.

Re: Durty Nelly's San Antonio
Unless they sell a lot of peanuts I would say they are 51%. I've been there several times but not recently. I don't remember them serving food. Just peanuts.
Re: Durty Nelly's San Antonio
Durty Nelly's has a substantial "Irish" food menu. I've been there before (years ago), and I wouldn't hazard a guess on whether they are 51%. (Or have a 30.06 sign.) The TABC does not list a license for them specifically; maybe they are operating under the Hilton's license? (Which would probably not be 51%).
Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of the matter?

Re: Durty Nelly's San Antonio
I decided to call them.....they say they are 51% posted.
Re: Durty Nelly's San Antonio
Thanks! I considered calling them, but was afraid that if they were not 51% posted, the call might attract verbal notice.WTR wrote:I decided to call them.....they say they are 51% posted.
It's interesting, though, that the TABC shows no red-sign license at their advertised address.
Re: Durty Nelly's San Antonio
I was told the only drinking establishment on the on the River Walk is Starbucks. However, I agree with Pawpaw. I have been in an establishment with pub in it's name that had a separate bar and dining room. The bar was posted, the dining area not.

It has to do with the % of sales from alcohol.Pawpaw wrote:You're willing to pull in any red herring to try to support an unsupportable statement, aren't you?

Honest to goodness, really and for true...?
Ah, I would venture a mere 99.9% of those on this forum understand this.
But thanks, for your new guy wisdom...
