Once again Yankee marshal strikes
I am convinced this channel is satire. The bad information on it is unlimited. I don't even shoot 45 but he says it bounces off car doors and windshields. I know for a fact that's false. This guy constantly contradicts himself as well.

Re: Once again Yankee marshal strikes
In his defense, he actually makes one valid point about the shortcomings of the .45 ACP, namely that the round is bigger so fewer of them fit in a gun unless the gun is bigger.
Everything else is either complete rant against old people (for some reason he seems to think that older folks prefer the .45). I am voting for satire. I mean, he can't seriously be advocating for the .380 as a better self defense round than the .45, can he?

This is coming from a guy who shoots a revolver. A 357 out of a 2 inch barrel. Then he convinced himself a revolver in 40 caliber is better with a longer barrel. Even though he previvously states semi auto calibers in revolvers is useless. The guy is a mess and he reaches so many people.Soccerdad1995 wrote: I am voting for satire. I didn't realize that people took him seriously. If so, that is sad. I actually cracked up laughing a couple times while watching his short video, so I did find some entertainment value in it.Soap wrote:This is coming from a guy who shoots a revolver. Re: Once again Yankee marshal strikes
I guess, all of those people who are dead from being shot with a 45 acp are not really dead?
I would also like him to demonstrate the ability he has to "get out of the way" of a 45 if he sees you pull the trigger. That is some kind of quick reflexes.

I was thinking the same thing. He can dodge a bullet travelling at 800 feet per second, but can't quite manage to dodge one travelling at 1.300 feet per second. I guess he only has super human reflexes and does not have god like reflexes.Jusme wrote:I guess, all of those people who are dead from being shot with a 45 acp are not really dead?

His arguments are the worst in those live chats. I think the guy just likes to go against the grain. It makes him money.

If he needs money, he should be a professional athlete. With his reflexes the guy would dominate several different sports.Soap wrote:

He is wacked. I watch he occasionally strictly for entertainment reason and almost never agree with any his videos.

Re: Once again Yankee marshal strikes
I've watched enough of his videos to know he is serious about all of his ill-conceived comments and opinions. Anyone who starts a video with a kindergarten-level intro pretty much telegraphs his maturity level. I don't know his background, but I suspect he has absolutely no experience from which to draw when expressing his conclusions.

I watch his videos on a semi-regular basis, because he makes me laugh. Most of the things he says, is said tongue in cheek from what I've seen. He often times does make outrageous videos like the one posted, but its suppose to be hyperbole, such as the comment about getting out of the way of the .45 bullet. He was asked what his opinion of what the 'worst' self defense round is, this video is his answer. If I had to guess, he's poking fun of the question with a ridiculous answer.

I watch his videos from time to time because they are short and occasionally funny. I particularly enjoy hearing him opine on gun-related political issues, etc. This one however is particularly offensive and unfunny.Pariah3j wrote:I watch his videos on a semi-regular basis, because he makes me laugh. As for bullets bouncing off of car windshields and doors, most any bullet will deflect if it hits at a shallow enough angle. Same with shooting at water, which is why you shouldn't do it.
He loves to make controversial statements, it's how he gets views. He likely wouldn't generate nearly as many clicks by titling his video as ".380 acp is the worst self-defense round" because there are lots of people who already believe that to be true. Plus he has often said that the best self-defense handgun is the one that you will carry. If you have a .45 auto 1911 that you won't carry because it's big, heavy, uncomfortable, and you can't effectively conceal it without buying a new wardrobe, then it's not as good as the .380 mouse gun in your pocket.
Of course, if I really want good information about guns and ammo I don't go to TYM for that information I'll watch Hickok45 for gun reviews and several other channels as well.

I don't think I'll be seeking out anymore knowledge from our Yankee friend.
