I wonder if any of them will arrest a NFL players for disorderly conduct if they refuse to stand during the national anthem.
That's a good question. It's easy work rousting scrawny kids and geriatric flag burners. When Colin Kaepernick "intentionally" takes a knee during the national anthem, he knows full well it's "an offensive gesture or display in a public place, and the gesture or display tends to incite an immediate breach of the peace" in America, especially in Texas.
There's no way this rises to the level of an "immediate breach of the peace". Kaepernick's idiocy is protected speech/expression, just like flag burning. You can't have police going around arresting people for taking an unpopular or even racist position... Maybe my public denial of man made climate change tends to incite an immediate breech of the peace in Austin, but I don't expect to get arrested for it. :nono:

That's your opinion, but seeing public reaction to this, it's much worse than some woman using profanity in Walmart.

Only one law is a shall arrest in Texas, that a violation of a protective order that occurred in the officer's presence. Everything else is a "may" arrest including burning the flag and disorderly conduct. I don't waste my time on class C arrest unless they really tick me off. They will just get a PR bond the next morning anyway.

Burning the flag of this Nation for which so many died is not speech. Rather, it is an physical act to provoke and incite violence.

Freedom of expression is not same as freedom of speech, to me.
I support free speech fully, as disgusting as it may be.
Flag burning is an physical act, and again, it has nothing to do with speech, to me.

To burn the flag you need more then a filthy Prog mouth.

I know...most will disagree with me, and that's ok.

He doesnt, he can Tweet whatever he wants. In my world, unlike the politicians world, a mans word is good and we try our best to do what we say we we are going to do. When he Tweets one should possibly have their citizenship revoked, thats just not reasonable to me. Kinda hard to take that serious. Thats all I meant. Sorry if it offended you.
Just some guy's opinion.

Ok. I understand. I was not offended. No trigger alert. I didn't need my safe space. :biggrinjester:

OK, I was in 81mm mortars too for those years ('62 - 67) in both straight leg and mechanized infantry, but there was no 10 on the end of the 11C at that time (that I recall). So, I was qualified in mortars and recoilless rifles also. Yeah, we were grunts too. So happy deflection, elevation and charge to you :cheers2:

There are some acts for which you can lose citizenship.

Look them up if you doubt it.

In my opinion flag burning should be included and I think Trump simply expressed his opinion not by using his pen and phone to make it so, unlike our "worst President to date".

President Elect Trump isn't acting like some tin pot dictator like so many on the left admire.

He doesn't behave like Castro or Obama.

He can certainly express his opinion and what he'd like without acting on it.

I realize some lefty's are incensed he doesn't do what they prefer and expresses negative opinions regarding topics they are so enamored with like flag burning to which I say again - "tough noogies".

He won the election and the left can cry their red eyes out and pout until they turn blue in the face!

G26ster,

I went in 67 - Fort Ord and that was they classified my MOS when I entered AIT.

I'll look at my DD214 to see if it's on there...

Just checked and that's what on there 11C10 Indir. Fire.

Perhaps, given that I went into my time in service in 67 and yours ended in 67 they added the 10 on the end of the MOS.

Just guessing though...

I'd say "send your mission, over" but then we'd be hijacking the thread for a while.
