I don't disagree with you, but I don't share the confidence that a new president will have that much influence over local attitudes. The DNC isn't going away, but time will tell just how much power they will continue to have. Trump will change a lot of things, but I still believe that local politics won't change much in the near future. Although I do believe he won't be antagonizing local issues as much as our current president has.

I would like to believe this, but I don't believe there is much in his power to do anything about it. The President has little control over our permissive Universities, Local and State police, nor the Local District attornies or our state/ county courts who seem to allow this type of stuff.

Heck, the new HPD chief may be tasked to "preserve disorder" based on his recent antics in Austin. Perhaps that's what tipped the scales for Mayor Turner.

Trump doesn't really have to go after hitlery, he can allow his AG or congress to take the lead on that!
IF I was in his shoes I'd use the information as leverage, any democrat Senator or Congresscritter that was implicated in hitlery's scandals would be given every opportunity to cooperate with their votes on bills I needed to get passed

I won hundred percent agree with this. Trump needs to play nice and say the FBI and Congress is out of his control. That is not a dictator. She will get her day in court and trumps hands will be clean
