Tuesday night/Wednesday morning: 2 scenarios
Hillary Clinton wins: the people who opposed her are bitterly disappointed and saddened. We straighten our backs, roll up our sleeves and prepare for whatever the future holds, even if it is only to begin the process of identifying a person capable of defeating an incumbent President in 2020.
Donald Trump wins: the people who opposed him are bitterly disappointed and maddened. They take to the streets in demonstrations, riots and other civil unrest. Businesses are looted and burned, innocent people are injured and killed. Before calm can be restored the National Guard and/or Army is needed to restore order in some major cities.

Both are possibilities. I can think of several other potential scenarios as well.

I don't think this will be called on Tuesday. It may not be called on Wednesday. I think this is going to be much closer than people think...

If Trump wins, then surely HRH will immediately call for a peaceful transition of power and for everyone to support the new President. After all, it was her surrogates that vehemently attacked Trump for even leaving open the possibility of challenging a close election result.
Personally I would love to see the media's sudden case of amnesia if we have a repeat of the Al Gore challenge to George W's election.

I would agree that if Trump wins there will be riots and looting. We have already seen it with the protester at his rally yesterday and the church that burned with a vote Trump spray paint. May God have mercy on us.

Mags loaded and rifles cleaned and oiled, radios charged, batteries changed in optics and lights, thermal scope charged. You know.. all of the typical opening day of deer season stuff, that also might be useful in election years.

You can be sure that if Trump wins the deplorables will be blamed and targeted for retribution.

Not as systematically as they'll be targeted if Clinton wins.bblhd672 wrote:You can be sure that if Trump wins the deplorables will be blamed and targeted for retribution.

Am I the only one who packed some extra firepower today? 3 guns, and a total of 150 rounds in loaded mags.

That sounds like a normal day. Always at least one pistol and an AR pistol in a backpack everywhere I go.Soccerdad1995 wrote:Am I the only one who packed some extra firepower today? 3 guns, and a total of 150 rounds in loaded mags.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Always have the G26 with 2 spare mags and AR pistol with 4 mags in the back.
I should charge my AA/AAA batteries when I get home. And fuel for the generator/truck. Thanks for the reminder.
ETA: also need to do an ammo count, and I have some mags I bought awhile ago sitting in a box that I could load up. And get all stuff back to my Bugout Bag.

No matter what happens, I hope that nobody gets caught up in any protests (or worse). My Drill Instructor said it best - "stay alert, stay alive".
