I'm banned. Not legally, but by strict policy. But we do have armed security, and my workplace is not accessible to the public, so that lessens the risk until I can get to my vehicle in the parking garage.

I didn't think they had to post 30.06/30.07 signage to prevent carry at work by employees. They just had to say no firearms and post a no guns sign at the door. Did that change?

It is not the exact 30.06/30.07 verbiage. However they could terminate my employment. I've kinda grown accustomed to eating food. Plus, their paychecks help me fund my hobby.

Don't confuse the legal right to fire someone with criminal trespass.

For work carry to rise to the level of criminal trespass the wording of a written notification must follow the verbiage described under PC 30.06/30.07. In a written document, the 1" letter element doesn't apply.

That has nothing to do with the right to fire or sanction an employee for any reason, including carrying a gun or having bad breath.

So the distinction is between job loss or potential legal fines.

I am not a lawyer, I didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night, and my opinion is worth what you didn't pay for it :)

I work for a city public utility, so any one of you can carry CC or open-carry into my office, but I cannot because it's in the employee directives that I will be fired for it. (Counting down the days, months and few years until retirement)

I CC at work. We have 30.06/30.07 signs on all entrances, but last year I managed to get an amendment written into our company policy that allows CC only by employees. We have to request permission from senior management, provide a copy of our license, and keep it strictly confidential. No one knows who is carrying. The privilege can be revoked at any time.

And yes, I keep a copy of the signed permission form in my desk, and in my truck.
