NJ: Student does a school project supporting gun rights and is Suspended

Police were called and we're not concerned.

Student was suspended and required to have a 5 hour psycholigical exam before he could return to school.

Only odd thing. Student refused and is now getting a GED.

To me rather than doing that you pass a psychological exam and then sue.

I'd refuse the eval and still sue. They are not medical professionals to determine such an evaluation is needed. Clearly violates his right to privacy since there was nothing of a violent nature found.

I agree, I think the parents should sue the school district for making him to the exam.

This is ridiculous, making the child have a 5 hour psychological exam because of a presentation.

How convenient that the teacher doesn't remember assigning the work to him

What difference does it matter that he had it in a personal flash drive?

I have contact my state rep., Jonathan Stickland, about supporting HB 560. Fine out who represents you, here.

I always love it when they can't discuss students confidential records as a defense.

Whew I can't imagine how infuriated I would be as a parent. I would see to it that the people responsible never saw a school or classroom again.

It's a wonder they didn't recommend the student to be sent to a re-education camp.

They were quite popular in Red China a few years back for independent thinkers and I'm not entirely sure they don't still exist...

Aren't they called "public schools and Universities" in the U.S.?

I think the kid lucked out.

The only thing worse than psychiatrists are the education mafia.

Psychiatrists drive me crazy!
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

I watched the video. It had a picture of a criminal, some slides with text giving examples of people protecting them selves with firearms, and some political cartoons. There was not one violent thing in the video. No graphic images. Nothing. Mental evaluation? They are asking the wrong people to be evaluated.
