Partnering with local Ranges
For those of you that have been teaching for some time, how do you develop partnerships with local ranges? I don't mean to qualify, I mean developing a relationship where they advertise or co-advertise for you and you run the classes that are scheduled at that range. Are those people usually employees of the range that draw a paycheck from the range, or "contractors" (for lack of a better term), that possibly split profits with the range or what? TIA!

Re: Partnering with local Ranges
I have recently had some great interactions with Full Armor Firearms on the Katy Freeway in West Houston.
Friendly staff, try hard to work with outside instructors, VERY reasonable prices ($10.00 per shooter), generally a great place to work with.

Re: Partnering with local Ranges
In my case I am what you would call a partner.
We advertise the classes, they furnish the classroom and range, collect money, furnish targets, set up range.
I teach the class, qualify the students, and do the paperwork.
We split 50/50.
