Pokemon Go! as a nuisance to other outdoor activities

I enjoy outdoor photography on a regular basis. Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land is one of the most popular photography destinations, and I was quite distressed when I saw a video of Pokemon Go! players parking "wherever" and overrunning the place.

It's also a popular cycling location, and I see an even greater conflict with that activity. Let's just say that situational awareness and Pokemon Go! don't mix well. Many other activities such as bird watching, dog walking, jogging, or just trying to get away from people are also vulnerable.

It could be interesting if it's still going strong as hunting seasons get underway.

Does anyone else share my concerns or have had any actual experiences?

The world is on fire and we have Pokemon craze. I don't get it.

Anything that gets our kids out of the house has benefits.

And we cant restrict activities just because they arent ours. I figure when school resumes & the weather worsens things will simmer down.

My neighbor had someone jump their fence, at 2 in the morning, to get into their backyard because one of these things was supposedly there. This game is going to get someone killed. Anyone in my backyard at 2am is likely not going to catch anything but a bullet or 8.

Maybe its a nuisance, but as long as they follow the rules (parking, courtesy, respect for the public place) they have as much right to public places and parks as anyone else. Just because their game is stupid to some of us, doesn't mean they don'r have as much right to pursue it as anyone else. I'm just glad to see a some millennials get outside and some fresh air.

If you're over 40 and want to kill off PokemonGo, just download it and walk around catching creatures for a few hours. It will become as uncool to kids as Facebook.

My daughter commented last night that there were several cars that went by her house very slowly with the drivers staring at their phones. Couple went around the corner and stopped in the street with the driver hoping out . She said it's not just youngsters too.
