Learned this morning that retired Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson has died. Prayers up for
Family and friends. Rest in Peace, Ranger.

Sad news, indeed.

I have his books and enjoyed those stories. None will be mistaken for fine literature, but they are good stories, and many of them doubtlessly true.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Saw that news late last night, saddened to hear it. He was a legendary man, and belongs right up there with Rangers like Jack Hays and Bill McDonald. May he rest in peace. :sad: :txflag:

Sad news indeed. I met him at a book signing in San Angelo, TX. He spoke well and have a lot of respect for him. RIP and may his memory be eternal...

He and I were elected to the NRA Board the same year (2001) and I knew him well. Anyone who has read his books know of the family tragedy he and his wife have suffered.
