SOB for 3" XD
Anyone know of any "small of the back" holsters for a 3" XD?
I currently have a Milt Sparks IWB that runs at 4 o clock, and an OWB Galco Silhoutte that runs at 3-4 o clock when worn (rarely - its bulky).
I would love to just pull a sweater over a SOB holster during the winter months.
Thanks for the heads up

I tend to agree with you. I think Clint at TR has written about this, and while I see his point, I still want one and I am aware of the risks. Having it with me is better than not having it all right? Thanks for the replies so far though!HighVelocity wrote:A lot of people don't like the SOB style holsters because some claim that falling on your back could cause injury to the spine. I've never heard of this actually happening. I think you're more likely to get writers cramp making out checks for bills each month.

So - back to my original question - anyone know of a good SOB holster for the XD?
It is great! If you are in the College Station area you are welcome to come shoot it sometime.graysoncountyffl wrote:hey gigago4, how do you like your 3" xd? been thinking of one myself.
I actually got it in a trade with the previous poster, HighVelocity. I've never had a jam with it, and it shoots CorBon and Speer Gold Dot +P ammo great.
The pearce grip pinky rests are very nice add on, and make the grip much more comfortable, but on my they poke out a bit when just covering with a tshirt, so I run just a flush mag when im wearing fewer clothes.
I would recommend them to anyone looking for a compact, light carry gun.

Again - input appreciated, and recognized. I would ask of future posters that we stick to recommendations of a SOB holster for my XD.orc4hire wrote:HighVelocity wrote:A lot of people don't like the SOB style holsters because some claim that falling on your back could cause injury to the spine. Falling on your back while wearing a SOB holster may be a small risk, but being very uncomfortable while sitting (driving, for example) is a near certainty. Especially with a chunky pistol like the XD.
I can join in and list tons of reason why I could possibly not want one, but I've never really worked with one, and my curiousity is peaked.
Thanks again guys,

I am leaning towards these two - both from brigade leather:

And also an M-35
