We know EXACTLY what kind of justices Hillary will appoint to the supreme court, maybe the sound of Supreme Court Justice Obama doesn't worry you but it scares the daylights out of me. I don't trust Trump, nor would I suggest anyone do so, but I trust Hillary to do exactly what I do not want. As for the idea that we need another bad democrat to get a good republican I would not be strongly apposed to this except for the spineless cowards we have in the legislature seem deadset on giving the democrats exactly what they want. As for the "Third Party" folks, let me remind you how successful that has been historically with this: Ross Perot.bdr518 wrote:I'm am sick and tired of these bull lines. This is no more than fear mongering. The fact of the matter is I just don't trust Trump. There is FAR to many examples of flip flopped positions, empty slogans, and pathological narcissism for me to think he's any better than Hillary. I think BOTH Trump and Hillary are going to be horrible presidents, but with the "Republican" tag on his name, there won't be another chance for a principled conservative from the GOP in the future. This "I don't care hold your nose and vote" mentality has done nothing for us in the past. This election I am going to vote FOR my principals or not vote at all, and if that means that it goes to the other person, will then our only hope from self immolation is an Article V convention. I am sick and tired of both sides ripping the Constitution that I took an oath to protect from ALL enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC. Neither one of these clowns give a rats you know what about the Constitution, so maybe its time for the states to remind the feds who is REALLY in charge. Thankfully we still have quite a few civil options at our disposal, but keep letting the take your rights away one by one and feeding you lie after lie, and eventually we will be at a place where no one wins. I don't need a hand held to "see things the right way". The right way has been spelled out clearly in our constitution. Call and write your governors and legislators. Support and article v convention of the states and put the power of government back where it was supposed to be in the first place. --rant complete--G.A. For those of you that say that they can never vote for Trump, I say do not fixate on the trees and miss seeing the forest. We have the Supreme Court and 2nd Amendment at stake.

Re: NRA endorses Trump for President
Does Hillary get all the votes that are not cast? I think not! Will Trump get all the votes that are not cast for Hillary? Nope not the way it works, but some folks say it is and expect others to be as slow thinking as their argument. So far there has been no indication that Trump in not a Trojan Horse. If I do vote for Trump it would not be in support of him but it would be voting for the slowest destruction of the USA.
With Hillary there is no guessing what she is really saying. Pure evil is just that pure evil.
If Trump does win he has shown that he will probably alienate every one who does not say it the way he tells them to say it. Most his supporters are supporting him because of emotion and not ideology. Trump has not shown a consistent ideology, but he has warned us that he will do what benefits him first without regard of anyone else.
As far as the NRA endorsing Trump goes, the NRA sure isn't going to endorse anyone else. The NRA has no opinion on abortion, taxation or many other difference between liberals and conservative views. The NRA is a one view organization and the is the support of the 2nd Amendment. That is what they have said to be their only focus -------- citizen gun rights. That is why I do support them.

I registered to vote JUST so I could vote for Trump (other than local issues in my home town). I also agree with most of the views here, he isn't the best for the job, but better than the other options. I guess I like the fact he is not a politician, yet he made it this far, in an uphill battle. Trump is definitely extreme, but he is also a smart businessman, who knows the art of the deal.

To sum it up rather crudely: If your not voting for Trump (not voting at all, doing write in, voting for a third party candidate, or the Democratic Ticket) then you are effectively voting for Hillary and gun control. For the record the candidate I voted for didn't win, but I will hold my nose and pull the handle to keep Hillary from getting her 3rd term.
Simply no other choice. I am 2ndA voter, Period

I agree with you. But I will still vote for him, despite that and many other misgivings. The only "simple" part of this decision is 2nd Amendment implications. Even then I am not absolutely sure about Trump's stances. It's just that I am sure about Hillary's.bdr518 wrote:I would be one of them. With how he has handled himself through the primary, and listening to his numerous flip flops, I can not see how this man could be good for the conservative movement. I am afraid I am a one issue voter. Hillary has made it clear which side of the 2nd amendment she is on.

I am still in shock that after 7 years of belly aching about how bad Obama is, all the Republicans could come up with that they think is a nudge better is Trump. I realize that the folks here are largely one-issue voters, but there are potentially so many other concerns that he could foul up...the nation is in trouble.
Re: NRA endorses Trump for President
On the bright side, there are many, many things he could correct for generations. With the opportunity to appoint 3 to 4 Supreme Court justices, he could prevent a generation of progressive legislation from deteriorating our liberties...... and not just the 2nd Amendment.gdanaher wrote:I am still in shock that after 7 years of belly aching about how bad Obama is, all the Republicans could come up with that they think is a nudge better is Trump. Re: NRA endorses Trump for President
I have reservations about Trump. That said, I have and will continue to cast my votes for Liberty -- which cannot long stand if the Second Amendment falls. I know with reasonable certainty which party platform and which candidates are bent on destroying Liberty. Therefore, I stand on my soap-box to denounce them, make my deposits in the ballot box to deny them, and store up cartridge boxes to oppose their force with force should that end-game be needed.
