Glock 19 version will fit a 15 round mag flush, and a glock 17 version will fit a 17 round mag flush. you can use a 17 round mag in a 19 version but not a 15 round mag in a glock 17 version, both can use 33 round mags. I am not sure about the 40cal but will assume its the same, they can use the 15 round mags or 22 round mags.jmorris wrote:I can't find any markings on my Gen 1 except the caliber (40 S&W). Just FYI, Academy off Brodie in Sunset Valley (Austin) has a Sub 2000 on the rack priced at $499. I don't want one but I almost bought it just because it's kind of like seeing a unicorn.

I wonder how many must a person buy, then remember he didn't need one, then resell at a profit before he needs an FFL/Dealer's license ?txcharvel wrote:Just FYI, Academy off Brodie in Sunset Valley (Austin) has a Sub 2000 on the rack priced at $499. Just curious, I knew a guy who owned hundreds of 1911s, had a flea market booth, the BATFE eventually bothered him, tried to say he was a dealer instead of a collector who occasionally "thinned his heard" sold parts of his collection, he's deceased now, heart attack.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I wasn't asking, I was adding a point of information. I have the 10 round that came with it, two 15 round, and one 31 round.loscar141 wrote:Glock 19 version will fit a 15 round mag flush, and a glock 17 version will fit a 17 round mag flush. you can use a 17 round mag in a 19 version but not a 15 round mag in a glock 17 version, both can use 33 round mags. If the 15 round mags fit flush it is for G22 then the G23 mags will be to short because they are 13 rounds.jmorris wrote:Sorry, I wasn't clear. I wasn't asking, I was adding a point of information. I didn't think about a 10 round mag cause we live in Texas, but I guess its for the states that only let people have 10 round mags

Re: WTB - Kel Tec Sub 2000
just out of curiosity, how much are you trying to pay for it? I have a gen 2 glock 17 version, bought at academy for 430 plus tax plus a few 33rd mags and a couple of 17 rd mags, again out curiosity I'm just asking
Re: WTB - Kel Tec Sub 2000
My Sub2k G19 Gen 2 came with a 10 rounder (I've heard the 10 round ones were less reliable, it went in a drawer right away, I guess saved in case I travel somewhere that they count the rounds in concealed magazines [or airport x-ray? in other State with restriction or something]) Anyway. not sure why I saved it, but that's what it came with new on Gen 2 G19 versionjmorris wrote:I have no idea what they come with now. Re: WTB - Kel Tec Sub 2000
As long as it is Glock factory, I would encourage you to test it out at the range. I've never had an issue with any of mine. If it is an aftermarket, keep it in the drawer. :-) I also understand if you keep it in the drawer so that all of your mags are the same. But I have not seen reliability being an issue.NotRPB wrote: My Sub2k G19 Gen 2 came with a 10 rounder (I've heard the 10 round ones were less reliable, it went in a drawer right away

Re: WTB - Kel Tec Sub 2000
I'm pretty flexible on price. I'd prefer new, but I'm not opposed to buying used if it is in good condition and has proven itself reliable. Just hypothetically speaking, of course, I'd probably pay up to 90% of the new price, depending on condition, with an adjustment (more money) for extra mags. So for your set-up, and assuming that the G17 mags came with the weapon, maybe $400 for the weapon / G17 mags and another $50-$60 for the two 33 round mags, or $450-$460 total, assuming good condition, less if it is beat up.loscar141 wrote:just out of curiosity, how much are you trying to pay for it? Now if it was a G19 model, I would probably pay more than new. I just prefer to use the same mags I have already. My mag drawer is confusing enough as-is.
I will say that if you were to decide to part with your set-up, you should have zero issues selling it quickly at a fair price.

If you are in Houston or near an academy go ask if they have any just cause they are not on display doesn't mean they don't have them in the back room

Good advice. I will do that as soon as I get home.loscar141 wrote:If you are in Houston or near an academy go ask if they have any just cause they are not on display doesn't mean they don't have them in the back room
I am currently travelling in that nearby country called Kalifornia. Apparently Bernie is having a rally near my hotel tomorrow
