Some people like sweatmachine had enough time to start a small house. I think it's still standing around here somewhere.Kenneth77 wrote:You mean a comfy lazyboyFlightmare wrote:Welcome to the waiting room. Pull up a chair!LTC2016 wrote:Hello all,

Re: "Waiting Room"
So I just got off the phone with RSD. I spoke to a supervisor in the Data Entry section who stated to me that my application was in Background Check Verification. I asked him "Why is that taking so long?" I sent yall ALL OF MY SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS which included ALL of my previous criminal charges (which didn't go anywhere once it made it to the courts), and I went to ALL of the COUNTIES where there were hiccups at and sent you the CERTIFIED DISPOSITIONS to these cases. He called the supervisor of Background Check (Eligibility) who actually says "Yes or No" and he called me back promptly (within 5 minutes). He stated to me that they sent me a letter on the 7th which I probably just haven't received yet. I asked him, "What did that letter say?" He replied, " That they needed more documents in regards to my criminal cases." I told him that "They already HAD ALL OF THESE, that I had submitted ALL OF THEM WITH MY APPLICATION." He started looking through the system and replied, "I apologize sir, you are absolutely correct, you did submit everything we were going to need to get you approved if it all looks good." He said he had my stuff and he was going to go find an available investigator right then that was free and get them to go over my stuff, and that it shouldn't take that person very long for them to make a determination (within a matter of 15 mins) and that he personally would call me back as soon as they made that determination and let me know something. So lets see... hopefully he will call me back and give me the okay that everything was good and that I will be sent for printing! We will see... I will update when I find out. My all in was Jan. 28th.
This OBVIOUSLY goes to show that they DO NOT HAVE THEIR STUFF TOGETHER THERE!!!

What was your ALL IN date??ifpo238 wrote:RSD called me after my rep contacted them... I told 'em flat out I knew they were swamped, but I was tryin' to climb to the top of the pile. I think it actually helped, though in hindsight it was maybe not the nicest thing to do, cutting in line...

This was posted on another forum on April 7, 2016:
"My wife got hers in this past Saturday. She got everything done on March 3rd. The lone star state has stepped it up I guess."
I don't know if this was truthful or if someone was trying to get a rise out of everyone.

CHL 100 Received: 1/20/16
Contacted State Rep: 3/23/16
DPS Called to inform license was mailed: 3/30/16
Website Change: 3/31/16
Plastic in Hand: Still nothing as of 4/12/16
I called DPS today and all they could tell me is that it was shown to be sent to me 3/30/16 and that I have to wait 7-10 business days to receive my license in the mail. If I don't have it after that, I have to wait until 30 days from the issue date to request a replacement.

Re: "Waiting Room"
Congrats on the plastic!! Yeah, This is ridiculous. The guy said that when people complain, and when they get a call or a letter from the governor's office or what not, that they have 24 hours to "respond to them" to try to answer "their inquiries." He also stated that I was correct that it wasn't fair to us who are waiting PATIENTLY for others to be able to "cut in line" like that. To which I told him politely, "Well quit issuing out any licenses until yall get the ones caught up that yall are behind on!" Cause you are "RIGHT," it IS NOT FAIR to us who are waiting and have waited our TIME to get our licenses while trying to be patient with yall."ifpo238 wrote:1badazzman35 wrote:What was your ALL IN date??ifpo238 wrote:Prints taken: 1/12
