Turned out some 12 gauge 7/8 oz 7 1/2 magnum shot loads to wipe out some clays.

This is the time to teach the grandkids how to pull that handle all day.mjoplin wrote:Living vicariously reading through reloading forums for a few months. After bypass no more pulling on the handle for a while. Keep up the posts, enjoying the read!

Gonna work up a 6.8 SAAMI spec case for headspace purposes.......Tape on the back of the head does wonders for Go/No-Go.

I vacuumed the floor underneath the bench. I then counted supplies (primers vs brass vs bullets vs powder stashes). All is well for the summer. I decided to start stocking up for "election time" though.

Dug out a box of 38 158 gr Hornady SWC I got from my Dad. The box of 500 had a price tag of $12.25, I can only wish they were still that cheap. I loaded up 150 of 'em and then loaded 200 45 auto. Taking my nephew, his wife and his son out to shoot later this week and need to make sure we have enough to shoot.

I'm sure the handle is great, but the BIRD is very cool..!!!
I use to have one years ago....But he started leaking and quit drinking..!!!
I'm sure there's a lesson in there somewhere....

I received my "Short Ergo Roller Handle" for my Hornady LnL press from Inline Fabrication - still have to fit it but it looks well-made. I ordered it because I figured it's ridiculous to have to bend over on each handle-stroke like the infamous drinking bird:
I might get their Ultramount riser next month to get the press itself higher, but $75... ow.

I got the standard Ergo handle installed on my AP. I also got the wall rail mount and the dies rack (not installed yet).

Re: What Did You Do In The Reloading Room This Week?
I have a supressor laying in wait, so I looked up how to load for subsonic. I did some factory 185gr 308 a couple of weeks ago, and then my Lyman 185gr mold showed up. Yay.
Casted up and powder coated some of the 308s and 9mm.
Then proceeded to see how different seating depths worked in my bolt rifle. ZOMBIES!!!!! It's actually "Kawasaki Green" from Powderbuythepound. I'm finding the blue and the red are coating really nice even with my shake 'n bake simple method.
Other than that, just tumbled and prepped a bunch of rifle brass. I now have some of those 'short' Hornady 45/70 cases, so I think I'll go out and get a box of those FTX Leverlution projectiles and try my mitts on those.

Finally got around to knocking out another 200+ rds. of 9mm. I didn't spend much time at the bench but spent a little.
Re: What Did You Do In The Reloading Room This Week?
Just got a used and somewhat neglected Mec Grabber 8567, converted it to N model with new primer feeder and spending forever cleaning and adjusting the crimper to get it perfect. Also learning how hard it is to pick up 7 1/2 lead shot from everywhere mixed with Clay powder. Never spilled anything with my single stage but this progressive is killing me. I need to design a pan to catch all the spills. The learning curve.
