Online Application 11/23/15
Fingerprints 11/25/15
CHL class 12/11/15
CHL-100 scanned in 12/21/15
Website changed 2/26/16
Plastin in hand 2/29/16

I mailed my CHL-100 to Austin via snail mail. According to them it was scanned and attached to my application in their system on 12/21/15. I called the last week of January and was told the process had just been started. Called again on 2/16/16 spoke with Victor he checked all my dates and said it had been awhile so he put me on hold and asked some questions. Came back and said they were waiting for the background check to come back. He said it would be up to another 2 weeks. Called again today 2/26/16 and spoke with Victor again and he said my license mailed yesterday 2/25/16. The website also changed for me today 2/26/16. The wait is just about over!

For everyone waiting I feel your pain it seemed like forever. There is no rhyme or reason why it takes longer for some than others. My background is spotless other than a couple of speeding tickets. My boss took the class with me and he got his license in the mail on 2/6/16. He also mailed his CHL-100 via snail mail just like me.

Do you know the exact day that you were actually approved? My case is I spoke to Victor on Thursday 2-25 at 6pm & he did something similar & put me on hold for around 10-15 minutes & when he came back to the phone he apologized for the delay cause he went to get w/ a technician & all the techs went home already except one & he continued to say "but I got good news, you are approved & said it was approved that morning" & I should have my license in hand in the next 1-2 weeks. So, I'm trying to figure out from "actual approved (day) date" & how long it takes for actual printing & web site status option change from that day.
So did you actually find out what specific day you were approved on?

From what others have said, and myself expect lisence in about 8 days after approved. Website may or may not change vefore u get it. If it changes before u get it you are within a day or two from recieving it in the mail.
Congrats and carry safely!!!!
