ALL SOLD

I am simplifying my life by reducing the gun count, so here are some revolvers that need to go. Cash FTF near downtown Houston, no paperwork required (I might want to see your TXDL to confirm residency or age). Will ship to your TXCHL address with copy of TX CHL and TXDL, paid by USPS money order or discreet PP/CC +3%. Otherwise, buyer is to provide info for FFL who will accept shipments from non-FFLs.

All have the following: No issues or problems, bright and shiny bores, original finish, tight lockup, low round count.

1. S&W Model 36 "Chief's Special", 1-3/4" pinned barrel, .38 S&W Special, 5-shot, 99%+, great case color still on trigger and hammer, S/N 482XXX. Includes S&W black basketweave belt holster. $500

2. S&W Model 27-2, 6" pinned barrel, .357 Magnum, 99%+, recessed cylinder, excellent case color still on trigger and hammer, S/N N13XXX. Includes "Hunter" belt holster. $1000

3. S&W Model 1905, 4" pinned barrel, .38 S&W Special, 98%, great case color still on trigger and hammer, S/N 579XXX. Finish is still very bright and shiny except for a couple of small areas on the cylinder, and a tiny area on the barrel (see photos). Includes canvas cover. $900

4. S&W Model 329PD, 4", .44 Magnum, super lightweight Scandium frame, 99%+, S/N CFY0XXX. Includes original box, extra set of grips, 2 lock keys, and Comp-Tac paddle holster. Reloading components available separately. $1000.

Very nice guns. Would love to add any or all to my collection.

Curiosity and ignorance prompts me to ask. Is it legal to ship a gun directly to a purchaser without shipping to an FFL?

As long as age and residency requirements are met by the buyer, it is perfectly legal to privately ship a gun within Texas. It is the same as doing a FTF transaction, no FFL required.

In addition, it is legal to ship a gun to yourself in another state. Sometimes, I vacation in NC, and to avoid airport hassles, I just ship my handgun to myself there, and back.

I knew about the in state thing, I had no idea about sending one to yourself in another state. Was looking at some classes at Academi in NC and wondered how to get guns out there without dealing with the airport.

Well, bless my heart. I thought handguns had to go through a FFL. I reckon that's only for non-resident purchases?

May a nonlicensee ship a firearm by common or contract carrier?

A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her or her own State or to a licensee in any State. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun. In addition, Federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm or ammunition, prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm and requires obtaining written acknowledgement of receipt.

[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(2)(A), 922(a)(5), 922(e) and (f); 27 CFR 478.30 and 478.31]
