Moviehouse & Eatery
I took the kids to a new movie theater today, we had a great time! The seats are fully electric recliner's and the food is just as good as any chain.
After we got home I called the theater and spoke with the general manager and thanked him a job well done, I also thanked him for allowing concealed carry. He said you're welcome and that he is a Chl holder himself.
He asked what I thought about OC! I told him,I think it's a good idea and we talked about all the other states that already allow OC without any problems that we have heard of and that the fears are mostly likely from the unknown instead of fact.

That's pretty neat, both the electric recliners and the carry policy.
I didn't know there was such a thing as "Moviehouse and Eatery," but googled it and it looks pretty new, I think? I see there's one in Austin too, will have to keep my eye on it. When I was stationed in Germany, there was a movie place just across the border in Brunssum that had superb seating and little tables, group in little mini-booths. You could get some chow AND a beer or wine and enjoy the movie. Was pretty nice. Don't think OC would have gone unremarked there tho.

I'm curious where this was. We have a movie house and eatery in Keller that was posted last time I checked.

Interesting. I think they are owned by the same company and I assumed it was a corporate decision. I'll have to look into Keller's again.Richbirdhunter wrote:Flower Mound is not postedajwakeboarder wrote:I'm curious where this was. Re: Moviehouse & Eatery
The Movie Tavern in Denton, on W University is also a dine/drink/watch a movie house. I didn't see a 30.06 when I went a month ago, and it's not listed on Texas3006.com, either. Its only "problem" is that they have only 5 screens, so the choice of movies at any one time can be limiting if what you want to see isn't playing there.

Re: Moviehouse & Eatery
The Moviehouse and Eatery in NW Austin (620 / Concordia) is not 30.06 posted and I carry everytime I go. Great place, great service, good food, and THE most comfortable seating anywhere. Highly recommend.

Re: Moviehouse & Eatery
The one in Keller was initially posted 30.06. The signs were gone a few weeks later. I thanked the manager and it's now our fave theater. Going there tomorrow

Re: Moviehouse & Eatery
Finally had a chance to get back to the Moviehouse in Keller. As others have mentioned in other threads, it's now posted 30.07, but NOT 30.06.
I have exactly zero heartburn about it. Thanks! Moviehouse.

It's still a win, with most theaters being GFZ's I'm at Cine Mark at Vista Ridge mall and they're 07 only so my shirt is untucked while enjoying 13 Hours

Re: Moviehouse & Eatery
I know the owners of the Austin location. Great, reasonable people.
For those wondering, they are franchised. Even before the 07 issue came up and started stirring the pot recently, I was hooked on Moviehouse. I won't see a movie anywhere else. I can't recommend it enough.
