Maybe I didn't read correctly but it seems to me 99% of all guns on the market are included in this. Handguns with mags over 10 rounds also.

Usually, these types of bill are used as fund raiser center pieces during election years. In other words, any gun manufacturers, retailers of ammunition and the like start to pay these paracites off, being as they're in protected districts, to drop their efforts. I've seen it with alcohol legislation. Introduce a bill to raise the drinking age only to be paid off by the distributors to drop the legislation.

These Georgia Dem are traitors given the documented rise in terror plots nationwide under the current White House:

That whole thing was painful to read. It looks like they want to turn Georgia into New Jersey. Also, if I'm right about my understanding of what's in them, it also bans the bi-metal cheap ppu and Tul ammunition.
I want me some depleted uranium bullets...but Academy and Walmart were all out last time I checked. "rlol"

Isn't it sporting to shoot home invaders in Georgia, or is it the home invaders whose purpose is "sporting?"

Nah, they'd be traitors even if no one had ever heard of a terrorist.

Painful read - no grandfathering and no compensation for weapons surrendered. :banghead: Wonder if the author(s) read the 5th amendment at all...
Do you think the government pays you when they seize your stash of smack, crack or other illegal to possess items?

I understand the rationale as I've heard it from the left before, but isn't there an ex-post facto consideration in making a crime out of what was previously legal and then seizing property on that basis? If not it seems a neat end run around the Constitution. Why even have an imminent domain proceeding....why not just make ownership of a desired property illegal and seize it as contraband? And by the same logic wouldn't the State also be able to seize your home, vehicles, and other property, including cash, where those now illegal guns are being kept?

I suppose I think of imminent domain in terms of real property only, since that is what I dealt with, and have never heard of the government taking personal property in that fashion.

I suppose it could happen that the government could declare diesel powered 4 wheeled vehicles illegal and seize them. The political backlash might be overwhelming. That is really the only ultimate limitation, and as we have seen with same sex marriage, even voter disapproval isn't failsafe.

Voters need to oust the officials who support whatever it is they are unhappy with, and they will get rid of the judges who go along with it. Short of that, words, concepts and meanings, can be awfully flexible.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Georgia is changing (demographically) more rapidly that any other state. Will be a blue state in 10 years or less.

Your truck example is better but I was thinking of real property when I wrote my response. I was specifically thinking of the case in New London CT where the city seized property to give it to a developer based on an expectation of greater tax revenue. It's more of a reach than your truck example but as you say, concepts can be twisted into just about anything.

The Feds are also seeding states like Georgia with immigrants, legal and illegal, to hasten that demographic shift.

Seems like political suicide to me unless they have jerrymandered districts as bad as ours.

If what JALLEN says is true, then what is the point of following any law if you don't have any protections under the law? Or is that the point, as Ayn Rand said in "Atlas Shrugged", to turn everyone into criminals so as to gain more power over the people? Something better change for the better soon in this nation or we are doomed, and civilization as we understand it is too.
