He is a beggar's crossroads, leading to disaster in all directions.
All the folks he's managed to have meetings with are dead, except El Chapo, so far.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Well since he is liberal he thinks guns are evil and sees no use in having them. I wonder how long that train of thought is going to last.Dave2 wrote:I'd be denying it left & right, if I were him. Wouldn't want to upset the cartels like that if I didn't believe in being able to defend myself. For that matter, I wouldn't draw that kind attention to myself even if I had three groups of SEALs protecting me and lived in an island fortress. Some things are just better left out of public knowledge.baldeagle wrote:I saw on the news that the Mexicans were able to find Guzman because of a meeting setup to discuss a movie. So it may well be that Penn inadvertently led to Guzman's arrest. I doubt seriously that he intended to do that, and I suspect that if he had thought that might happen, he would have called it off.

If Sean Penn has a train of thought, it's guaranteed to be a short track and narrow gauge.Distinguished Rick wrote:I wonder how long that train of thought is going to last.

That's my point though... Regardless of whether he had anything to do with it, people now know he belongs to a fairly small group of people, some of which *were* involved, so they've gotta at least be suspicious of him, and I'd imagine it wouldn't be safe to stand next to him in Mexico.Distinguished Rick wrote:Well since he is liberal he thinks guns are evil and sees no use in having them. I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

It's a pity we didn't send him to interview the Castro brothers.....about a decade ago....JALLEN wrote:He is a beggar's crossroads, leading to disaster in all directions.

With rare exception, Show Biz folks aren't to be taken seriously when it comes to subjects they have zero expertise, but still some pay attention.
I don't understand why they are given an audience in which to prattle.
Would you listen to a ditch digger pontificate concerning brain surgery techniques?
No, you wouldn't and listening to anything S.P. and all the other show biz nitwits expound about that they nothing about is a waste of time.
