We see people rightfully complaining about cities improperly posting 30.06 signs. We say how those signs need to be reported. I agree. Is there some way to compile a list of such places and whether anyone (or hopefully several someones) have gone through the process of reporting them?
If we know that signs exist but haven't been reported, we can maybe report them ourselves if we have access to that place and can get pictures.
I know that this would require someone to start some kind of place to put this information, but without it, how do we know?
We see people posting about illegal signs and may assume that someone else has done something, when in reality they haven't. We now have a law that can hopefully help us, but it is useless unless we use it as it was intended.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Round Rock ISD is one good example.
Evidently the law provides a fine for gov't entities that post 30.06 or 30.07 signs.
On another forum, they were going to send a certified letter to the RRISD superintendent as "official notice", then report to the AG.
I don't know if that's the proper procedure but sounds right.

Re: How Do We Know?
Thanks for the link and information, but it really doesn't address my question. We all have access to information about how to report illegal signs, but how do we know if an illegal sign has been reported? Wouldn't it be good to have a central resource that we could all see to find out if something has been reported, and if so, what has happened (or not) as a result of the report?

I can't imagine how that could be coordinated.RossA wrote:Thanks for the link and information, but it really doesn't address my question. If you see something, say something. No penalty for multiple reports.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Yes, RossA, a central repository would be nice. But don't let the lack of one prevent you from reporting any legal signs you see. I feel that multiple reports of the same sign would be better than no reports at all.RossA wrote:Thanks for the link and information, but it really doesn't address my question. Re: How Do We Know?
oljames3, the second link is exactly what I had in mind. I notice that it hasn't been updated since October. Do we know if there has been any resolution to any of the reports listed? Only 5 reports listed, I hope that there have been a lot more made. Next time I go to Reliant Center I intend to take pics and make a report, if the signs are still up.
