I Created a Business Card for Protesting 30.06/30.07 Signs
I've been reading threads where people call or email business owners to express their disappointment with 30.06/30.07 signs, and I thought to myself, why not make it easier and save yourself the hassle. So today, I created this handy business card that will fit in your wallet. Of course, if you want to hand this to a store manager, you will have to disarm and leave your gun in your vehicle.
Ironically I got inspiration from opponents of Open Carry.
This can be printed on standard paper size at 8.5"x11" and has 12 cards per page. You can easily print your own business cards with medium weight cardstock, which is inexpensive and available at any office supply store. I will be carrying a bunch of these in my wallet in case I run into any businesses that don't support my right to defend myself. I also think I will write my email address on the back in case the manager wants to respond.

Nice work!
That anti/30.07 card that you are holding is a little mind-boggling.
The same armed-strangers that are open-carrying in stores were already armed strangers in the same stores only 7 days ago, they just were carrying concealed.
I guess ignorance really is bliss to some people.

Very nice. Perhaps it would be slightly better if it said "licensed law-abiding".

Let's be honest, the chances of these cards getting to management are slim.
A cashier will likely throw them away.

You are probably right, but the same could be said for an email or phone call. The manager might give some generic response about safety and customer concerns that disregards everything you wrote, so this saves you the hassle of writing an email that doesn't do anything. You can simply hand it to a cashier and go about your business. I'm going to leave these cards on counters and restaurant tables if I ever find the opportunity. Even the smallest protest can have an effect.nyj wrote:Let's be honest, the chances of these cards getting to management are slim.

Good idea, but I might offer one small change. Maybe this is just me, so feel free to ignore it if you want to.
Your card refers to "I do not feel safe"...
That to me is how an anti-gun person words things. This is not about feelings, it is about facts.
Without my gun "I am not safe."
I always argue to liberals that I don't care about your feelings, I care about facts.

You could put in an small card envelope that says for manager's eyes only.

I am not saying I agree with the cards or that they will do any good, but all you have to do is write "Personal" on the envelope and so it will get to the manager without prying eyes.allisji wrote:They might find that suspicious.loktite wrote:You could put in an small card envelope that says for manager's eyes only.

Might I suggest that you unarm and go inside. Ask for the Manager and give it to him in person. Put your email or phone number on the back. Let him know that if he would like to discuss it with you, that he can reach you by those methods. Shake his hand and thank him for his time. This might actually open up a dialog with the Store.
