Re: Your open carry experience in a business. (Poll)
I was out shopping at Krogers, ALDI, Starbucks and picked up a lottery ticket at the neighborhood gas station, all on foot and did not see a single OC person and I did not OC either.

Ran some errands this morning in my near by small town (6400+). Drove around for awhile looking at snow and drifts. Saw zero open carriers. Businesses I stopped at, I was concealed carrying, and couldn't even detect any others doing as I was.

The question is : Have you open carried in a business since 1/1/2016?Right2Carry wrote:I am not interested in those that haven't carried only those who have. - No -
If the answer is "no" to that question, the correct survey answer should be "other".

OC'd at Walmart this morning. No issues, and as far as I saw I was the only one OC at the time. I was mostly watching every one else's reaction. Most people didn't bat an eye, but did see one guy do a double take in the grocery section. But no screaming and no blood in the streets!

Went to Walmart and Tractor Supply not one eyebrow raised. Felt very strange OCing still trying to brake myself of an old habit of pulling my shirt tail down, might OC on occasion after this weekend, but back to work Monday and CC only.

But the question asks: Have you open carried in a business since 1/1/2016? And one of the answers, until you removed it, corresponded to a "no".Right2Carry wrote:Wrong! Apparently it made some sense since it appears you deleted the first post (?) Since the current first post doesn't really give any direction, and changed the poll. Whatever. You can have the last word...Right2Carry wrote:If you read the first post you would have known.gljjt wrote:But the question asks: Have you open carried in a business since 1/1/2016? Re: Your open carry experience in a business. (Poll)
I should since it is my poll. I stated I only wanted to hear from those that had actually opened carried. Sorry if that escaped you.gljjt wrote:Apparently it made some sense since it appears you deleted the first post (?) Re: Your open carry experience in a business. (Poll)
26 posts before mine and all but a handful were arguments over the intent of the thread and the proper wording of a poll question...
I OC'd in Home Depot and Starbucks with no issues. I didn't notice anyone staring or caring either. I probably won't OC often, but I like having the option to do so.

Re: Your open carry experience in a business. (Poll)
It was sad. Before I removed the option which reset the poll there were about 20 with yes no problem. Maybe they will come back and vote.rfs2005 wrote:26 posts before mine and all but a handful were arguments over the intent of the thread and the proper wording of a poll question...

When all is said and done I predict only about 10% of all LTC permit holders will OC. Frankly, most lack the confidence to OC.

Or maybe only 10% are stupid enough to do so. Depends on how you look at it.JBSr wrote:Frankly, most lack the confidence to OC.
