Concealed carry at church in a school?
I don't think my pastor would mind having someone carry concealed (haven't asked him yet), but my church meets in a school on Sunday mornings...has anyone ever received "written authorization of the institution?" I would not request permission to carry at the school during the week/during regular school hours, just on Sunday mornings. Is the Principal the approving authority? School district? Think my chances for approval are good?

A school is a school, no matter what is occurring on the premises.
You could talk to the principal, but I wouldn't expect most of them to be comfortable making that decision. They would probably need you to get approval from the school board and/or superintendent.
Sounds like a long shot.

Keep calm and carry.

My church also meets in a school. IANAL but as I've read the applicable laws I agree with cruzer, a school is a school. I disarm before going into church.
