To put it into some perspective. That is a Volkswagen beetle traveling at 1,834 mph.

Armament of the Iowa-class battleship - Wikipedia, the free ...

USS Iowa fires a full broadside of nine 16 inch (406 mm)/50-caliber and six 5-inch (127 mm)/38-caliber guns during a target exercise.

Okay, this brings up a question I've long had about large guns, but never looked up. How are large guns classified in caliber? A 16" gun is a 50 caliber? A 5" gun is a 38 caliber?

Chas.

Also Charles they are in Field Artillery sized as this, 5 inch is 155mm and 16 inch is 406mm like almost everything military it is called in the metric system, 8 inch is 203mm

Also cannon and howitzers are different, cannon are full aspect ratio and howitzers are 2/3 ratio. I spent 14 years in FA not as an officer, enlisted NCO

[quote="ELB"]If we are going to show F-16s, they should at least be Texas F-16s: :txflag:

Yeah but the ones I posted had a better missile loadout and were in flight so I went with the cool factor

Both pictures show Air National Guard, so it is all good.

McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle. I was glad to see these overhead.

Also, the F14 tomcat hasn't gotten enough love so with that said....

F-14 loaded with 6 phoenix missiles. With this loadout, the plane could not land on an aircraft carrier with all six missiles due to their higher weight
