My application information was received 8 days ago according to the USPS website, but the DPS website only states "packet mailed to applicant". The application was filed on line.
What this tells me is my package is sitting in a stack at DPS. Any thoughts?

It took about two weeks for my status to switch from "packet mailed to applicant" to "processing application" (see my timeline below). DPS allegedly pre-screens each app. (i.e., checks for signatures on the appropriate forms, checks for two photos/two fingerprint cards, etc.) prior to beginning to process the app.

It took a little under 30 days to get mine back but I have heard and read of some taking a full 60 days Plus before they recieved them.
Its a long wait but it will happen it just seems like time is crawling at a snails pace.
