So, what if we said that the local sheriff, police department, FBI, constable, what have you, had to monitor every opinion you wrote for a forum, newspaper, letter to congress, while it was being written? It would of course to make sure that you weren't writing in a threatening tone, or making outright threats.

Would this be acceptable to anyone?

If I buy ammo and then give it to someone else, can I get arrested for a straw purchase? I'd insert a laughing emoticon here, but, maybe that idea is in the proposed law?

I'll put on my flame suit and say.... You;re more likely to catch a bad guy buying ammo at the store than you would be to catch a bad guy buying a gun on the street..... I'll give the idea 1 point out of 10 for predicted effectiveness.
