People magazine is taking a stand on gun control

I don't know if this has been posted or if it is in the right sub forum but I thought it is kind of funny.

People magazine is taking a stand on gun control by publishing all 535 Congressional phone numbers

God Bless America, and please hurry.
When I was young I knew all the answers. When I got older I started to realize I just hadn’t quite understood the questions.-Me

That'll get those Congressmen squared away!

Years ago, I was flying back from some place and called my wife when I stopped for fuel. Back then you had a Pac Bell charge card. When the bill arrived, it was outrageous for a ~2 minute call within CA. I was so mad, I wrote a multi page harangue addressed to AT&T, and sent a copy to ALL 535 members of Congress and Senate. This was when postage was cheap, and it was still over $100, but I didn't care. This was about truth, justice and the American way! I didn't get any responses from Congress but I did get a very obsequious call from an Executive
Vice President who credited my phone bill the $5.35 or whatever it was.

Congressmen get so many letters and e-mails that they get ignored mostly.

Those phone numbers are available anywhere, and they won't talk to anyone not from their district.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Not like it makes a great deal of difference, all that info is out there for the having.

Another anti-gun nut publication does something that appears to the unknowing to be something positive.

Thought I would share. During the last lege, my state representative actually called me from the floor of the House to talk to me about an email I sent him.

Doesn't hurt to try.

Fox News is reporting the emails sent through the People Magazine link actually goes to a left-wing organization called opencongressdotorg that is funded by Soros and other far left wingnut progressives. According to the report, once you send the email you get a form asking for personal info.

Beware the progressives are hard at work.
Note: Me sharing a link and information published by others does not constitute my endorsement, agreement, disagreement, my opinion or publishing by me. If you do not like what is contained at a link I share, take it up with the author or publisher of the content.

Agreed.

My daughter wrote Ted Cruz concerning the push by Comcast et al to bring regulations allowing throttling of bandwidth for those not willing to pay for it. His office called and asked her permission to read her name aloud on the senate floor.

I have in my history, received various responses that were obviously not canned responses and a few phone calls; one from the then Texas AG in person.

Definitely doesn't hurt to try.
