Re: Introduce yourself
I'm Jonathan.
I'm 31 years old. Married in February 2011. I have a son, born in 2012, and a daughter, born in April 2015. I work at Chevron Phillips in Pasadena, with a degree in engineering from the University of Kansas. Took the CHL class from Tom Estep, and am currently waiting on my CHL. I'm not sure I've bought my EDC yet, but in the mean time I will use a Taurus TCP 380.
Thanks for having such a great forum for experienced and inexperienced responsible armed citizens alike.

Welcome to the forum Jonathan. Good to have you on board.
I took my first class from Tom Estep too. He's a great guy.

From my 6 hours with him he definitely seems to be a man of high character and a standard bearer for regular civilian gun toter. He also spoke very highly of Mr. Cotton and of this forum.

Re: Introduce yourself
I am a retired male and I am 74 years old.
I have had a Texas CHL since it was first started. My number is 4 zeros and then 4 numbers (less than 9000).
I retired and moved to the Philippines in Jan. of 2010.
I am married to a wonderful lady that was born here in the Philippines. We have been married for almost 6 years.
I lost my drivers license number because I forgot to renew it before I left, BUT I never forget to renew my CHL. It is presently good until 2019.
Before I retired I was a design engineer for a company that made Class1, Division 1, air conditioning units for the chemical industry.
We expect to be moving back to Texas within the next 6 months. I plan on staying in the US forever. When we (I) get off of the airplane the first thing will be to walk outside and kiss Texas soil. The second thing will be to straight to the nearest gun shop.

Re: Introduce yourself
I waited to introduce myself until I was sure of my intent to stay a while. Most forums I've visited were places for a few tough guys on keyboards to give everyone else a hard time. Doesn't seem to be the case here. Thanks for allowing me to join in.

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi! I am a new member here, and happy to have found this resource.
I am a 61 year old man. I am an apartment complex manager, retired from management in industrial manufacturing. I am married to a wonderful, crazy woman. I do not yet have my CHL, but will be getting one over the next 30 days or so. For years I have considered taking the step towards carrying... I think the time has come. Nothing in particular driving the decision other than I have felt, forever, that carrying is a Constitutional right and I now have the time to complete the process.
I live in the Lakewood area in Dallas.
I have a Glock 19 that I will be carrying. I also own a S&W 45 and a 357, both revolvers. I am looking at IWB holsters, trying to make up my mind which to select.
