I have wanted to pair my pistol ammo with a rifle for along time. The Sub-2000 seemed to fit the bill. My cousin shot one and said it sprayed debris all over the place. Need to check out the Gen II and see if this is a better option.

Then TAM throws the CMR-30 out there...Pairing the PMR and CMR would be an option.

GT featured the Springfield RO and Loaded Target 9mm in last months addition. I had always thought if I were to get a 1911 style pistol why get anything but a .45? But, I do not want to add another caliber at this point. I'm falling in like with the LT in stainless.

Speaking of not adding calibers, I would like to expand my AR class with the AR-10. It would be the Spike's tactical - Crusader. "The safety selector that controls the Crusader's trigger has three settings: Peace, War and God Wills It."

Trigger is amazing and its accurate as heck out of the box.
Alright, scratch this one off the list. Picked it up this morning, put 250 rounds through it tonight. Love it.

I've just gotta learn how to shoot a plastic gun. All these years with 1911 has given me some bad habits. The first 100 rounds or so were all wide left until I found the right grip and started short striking the trigger. After that, it was probably 99% x ring.

The 5.56 Tavor is now sitting in the #1 spot on my list.

Full Auto Registered Receiver M-16 lower. There's just no limit to the configurations of M16/M4's you can build out of these. Unfortunately $20,000 going price these days + $200 stamp.

Well, I was looking at a XDs 3.3" and by the time I finished perusing the Springfield Armory site I somehow went off the deep end and talked myself into purchasing a new TRP. That one arrived on Tuesday of this week so now to answer the original question my next gun will be an M1A Scout FDE.

I'm arguing between a G42, G43 and XDs 3.3 to supplement a 642 for pocket carry. Using the 642 as the baseline there's:
Weight G42 -10%, G43 +20%, XDs +55%
OAL G42 -5%, G43 -0.5%, XDs =
Height G42 -7%, G43 -3%, XDs =
Width G42 -25%, G43 -18%, XDs -28%
Capacity G42 +2, G43 +2, XDs +3/4

The XDs wins in width and capacity but weight kills it compared to the rest.
The G42 wins on size, weight, width and capacity compared to the 642.
The G43 wins capacity and width and is comparatively and close to equal height and length.
The XDs adds the grip safety to the mix which isn't a bad thing for pocket carry although it will always be with a pocket holster.
I've got a GSSF coupon so the G42 would be about $340 and G43 about $380 while the XDs is about $435.
The G43 and XDs win on power, the G42 probably wins on softer shooting.

Bottom line, I don't think there's a loser in the bunch. Now where did I put that 3 sided coin.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

I haven't thought about this for quite a while. The wife had no idea what to get me for Christmas and said she was thinking about getting me a Henry Silver Boy in either .22lr or .17hmr, but I asked her not to at this time. We have other things we need to spend the money on that are more important at this time. I did get me to thinking, though, about what would I like next.

The two I can come up with are, in no particular order:

Benelli Performance Shop Supersport 12ga. with a 30" barrel
Mauser K98 Carbine

Recently received and test-fired the one I wanted next - a Pietta reproduction of the 1858 Remington. The world of the cap and ball revolver operates at an entirely different speed from the full-sized double-stack box magazine fed 9MM.
