That's a great video, thanks for pointer.
Coincidentally last night I was on a WWII video kick on Youtube, and watched a couple good vintage documentaries that were related -- one was on the American forces retaking Guam from the Japanese, and the other was on the logistics effort of WWII. Both had some of the same clips that were used in the B-29 video; stacks of bombs and other equipment etc.
It is something to see all those B-29s and P-51s lined up, taking off, and in formation. There were so many then, and now there is, what, ONE flying B-29 and one in the museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, and a handful of P-51s. IIRC the logistics video said the US produced over 300,000 airplanes of all types during WWII, the vast majority built from 1942-1945. According to the DOT, in 2012 there were roughly 216K airplanes in the US.
