Do they operate in Texas?

I've heard of them. Never thought about going with them. I'm glad now. Thanks for posting.

I think this is an old story related to operation choke point which was ended under pressure from congressional republicans.

Hold on. Didn't do my due diligence.
Snopes says it is a rumor.

That snopes article is 3 years old. Apparently it's still going on, at least according to James Yeager (yes, I know).

last year there were hearings on (I believe) this issue. Here is a link to Operation Chokepoint
https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=Op ... oke+Point+
Some of the article I read talked about high risk businesses, such as the Porn Industry and most firearm related business, (perfectly legal). There were others but only these come to mind. It was also mentioned that there were definitely illegal businesses such as Cannabis but those were not included in Chokepoint.

Re: U.S. Bank Terminating Relationships with Firearms Busine
I'm surprised that anybody is dumb enough to do business with US Bank, or any of the big banks for that matter, unless you need to borrow $500 million from time to time. Short of that, there are a plethora of community banks around that would love to have your business, where you will be a fish of whatever size in a small pond, where you can have the top guy's phone number and most of the bank employees will know who you are and if there is a problem, it can easily be put right.
Some say they need world wide ATM access. Maybe. Open an account at Charles Schwab, or USAA so you can use an ATM anywhere and they reimburse you for any fee that may be charged.
I won't inflict on the dear readers the litany of horrible experiences I encountered in nearly 40 years of lawyering, in my own affairs and on behalf of clients. "Malevolent incompetence" comes closest to describing it, the short version.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

My mortgage is with US Bank. Sold to them by USAA.
I wonder if you can ask to have your mortgage sold to someone else...

You can ask but I doubt it would do much good. Don't know if it's still done or not but I've done loans in the past that included a clause that the loan could not be sold.KRM45 wrote:My mortgage is with US Bank. Sold to them by USAA.

Well, you could refinance with someone else but no guarantee it won't end upright back in their hands.KRM45 wrote:My mortgage is with US Bank. Sold to them by USAA.

But could another President just have the same rules/regulations put back in place? Was the law changed to prevent it?RHenriksen wrote:Ding, Dong - Operation Chokepoint is dead:
