This has something to do with guns and/or self-defense, as well as prepping, politics, and interesting lunch-time listening.
I'm referring to a recent podcast series on potential civil conflict in America: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-it- ... -30717896/ .
The creator, Robert Evans, is a reporter who spent time in places experiencing insurrections (e.g., Ukraine, Syria, and the Balkans), so that colors his hypotheticals. Evans self-describes as left leaning, so I don't agree with a lot of his politics. Still, he comes across to me as refreshingly pragmatic.
He foresees various triggers to a broader civil conflict, including regional separatist movements (e.g., State of Jefferson),widespread Occupy-style protests to a contested election, and/or confiscatory gun policy.
