Brazil: Give guns to good people

Bolsonaro woos Brazil voters with a simple recipe for ending violence, where seven people die each hour. "Give guns to good people"
Such a simple concept, that seems for much of the world to be so hard to understand.

Their leftists, must have the same speech writers as ours. Claiming, that arming civilians will cause them to start randomly shooting blacks, and homosexuals.philip964 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 8:06 am https://www.france24.com/en/20181008-bo ... g-violence

Who gets to decide who is 'good people'?

I have a problem with the word 'give'...
No, let them buy.
No, let them buy.

Taurus would be very happy.

Re: Brazil: Give guns to good people
Can they trust their government to be responsible in doing this any more than we can ours?

Anything is better than nothing. People tend to get the gov't they deserve.
I have no idea how well integrated their databases are but this would be a good reason to upgrade and update if they aren't at least on par with ours which are only a few decades behind the times.

Well, let's see how the left reacts. Unfortunately I have a feeling come Nov 7 they are going to be real unhappy up here in Del Norte as well so it might give us a window into the future.philip964 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 5:59 pm https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/28/worl ... ction.html

President elect plans decree allowing people with out a criminal record to own guns.
No doubt after this occurs there will be possibly an increase in gun deaths in Brazil. (if that is possible) This will be seen as a failure of his policy by the MSM. However, no doubt, most of the deaths will be criminals. There will always be some sort of shake out period after a big change like this. In a few years in Brazil, life will be better with less criminals.

Brazil has an idea to fix rampant gun violence more guns.
A very good friend for their New Years Eve message to all of their friends on Facebook asked for a peaceful new year and asked her friends to go here and sign a petition.
https://action.sandyhookpromise.org/p/d ... l34wRPzQCU Sandy Hook Promise.
Up until this point she had never expressed to me personally or had ever indicated her opposition to guns. In fact I suspected she was a card carrying Republican (and most likely she still is), so it was a disappointment to see this as her New Years Eve post. Rather than respond as I have done in the past, and lost that friend forever. I am posting here. In a lot of ways I vent my frustration and post here. Sorry I hope it is more appreciated here. It certainly is not in the world I live in. With a few exceptions such as with friends I have shot with, I remain silent. Many know, but I suspect most appreciate me being silent on something that offends them deeply.
I don't know the future. I suspect we escaped a bitter pill to swallow, if Trump had not been elected. It may have only delayed the inevitable. Trumps Supreme Court picks may extend his influence for 30 years. However, the future I read about in books in my youth, does not seem far off. To me our ownership of guns is the only thing holding it off.
