It's a "Violation of Privacy!"

Seems that the young people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Florida are getting a little taste of the medicine that they normally try to force down our throats. And they don't like it!

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/how-p ... spartandhp

Per the article:
Inside the school, administrators handed out the students' newest mandatory accessories: a see-through backpack...
Now, with the bags, they're sacrificing their privacy for what he and others consider an ineffective security measure.
Quote from senior Delaney Tarr in the linked article:
"Starting off the last quarter of senior year right, with a good ol' violation of privacy!"
Quote from senior Carmen Lo in the linked article:
"Many students are actually unhappy with the clear backpacks, as they believe that it infringes on their privacy...
I don't think that we should need to subject ourselves to these measures."
Quote from junior Kai Koerber in the linked article:
"Just implement a system that works... "It's terrible that girls will have no privacy ..."
Quotes from junior Isabella Pfeiffer in the linked article:
And backpacks won't prevent firearms from getting in the hands of dangerous people... It [a clear backpack] would not have prevented the February 14 rampage...""This isn't a solution to making sure that a tragedy like the one that happened at Douglas doesn't happen again," she said. "Many of us think that this is a way that legislators can pacify us instead of enacting actual change."
So, let's review: useless and ineffective "solutions" which are being forced onto people who do not want said "solutions" which have come about because people in authority feel the need to implement mandatory changes just so they can say they are "doing something"

Yep. Sounds about right. Welcome to our world, you little darlings!

I'm sorry. I really am not trying to be so sarcastic or antagonistic, but I just get so frustrated. I wish there were some way that we could make these people (kids and adults both) see that we law abiding gun owners "feel their pain" in this regard, because we are subjected to the same kinds of things that these kids are now complaining about: so-called "solutions" that do absolutely nothing to resolve the problem at hand, forced upon people who have absolutely nothing to do with creating the problem and who are all but powerless to resolve either the original problem or now the new problem brought about by the so-called "solutions" which are forced upon us against our will.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see."

there was one quote I read, it was probably a week ago, and it may have been from Hogg? that said, "we are all being punished because of what one person did"....gee, now you know what gun owners feel like.

As an alternative we could rub their nose in the big pile of bull excrement they have been screaming since the event.

If they are complaining about clear backpacks and carrying visible ID, imagine what they would do if real security measures were in place?

Clear evidence that the voting age should have never been lowered and the Draft (for both sexes) should not have been closed. Our once great country's future is in peril.

But it's OK when it's someone else who's losing their freedom.

"Many of us think that this is a way that legislators can pacify us instead of enacting actual change."
The only thing wrong with the statement is that the legislators aren't trying to pacify you. They are trying to feed their base of voters. "YOU" don't matter to the politicians. Get used to it.

...and it isn't the legislators making them use clear backpacks and wear ID tags, it is the school district.

They're having tantrums because they're not getting what they want (really being manipulated) through their demands...

Like children, which is what they are.
