Thousands of American heros suffered and died to bring freedom to Europe.

And after 72 years people are being arrested and sent to prison for speaking their mind.

The New York Times quotes Holger Münch, president of the Federal Criminal Police Office, as stating, “our free society must not allow a climate of fear, threat, criminal violence, and violence either on the street or on the internet.”
Which puts the power to criminalize in the hands of who, exactly?

And if I come to fear German police, who, exactly, is going to prosecute the German police for their climate of fear?

This is exactly the type of law, AG Lynch wanted to institute here, and if the election had not gone the way it did, would have taken root and slowly become as bad if not worse, here than it is in Germany. Before long any dissenting voice, will be declared "hate speech".
Just look at the riots at Berkeley, and other places, where no one who isn't saying what the left want to hear, are denied a platform.

You can bet that the Texaschlforum, would be one of the first places shut down.

As stated in the title, we have to fight with everything we can, to protect the Second Amendment, because those in power know that it is the only thing protecting any other rights.

Amen! I'm starting to wonder if Orwell for his book 1984 had a crystal ball. Political correctness has been allowed to become the realm of the Thought Police. Those who are making up fake news are attempting to stop those who are actually speaking for free speech. Take away the ability of self defense and free speech and you will have history repeat itself.

Is 'fake news' the new version of Orwell's "Double-Plus-Good QuackSpeak"? :biggrinjester:

Orwell didn't need a crystal ball... History repeats itself. They just pick it up, dust it off, rename it, put it in a shiny new package, and sell it to the next generation.
