Just saw this article on Facebook and was bringing it over, glad you already have it up. Guess we'll just have to go riding our horses to gun shows!

Probably not as much fun, but having to ride horseback 30 miles to the nearest gun show, would kinda put me out of the buying mood by the time I got there, just sayin...

Way to be all practical and destroy my argument for needing a horse...

I have a bike rack on the car, I could park 1/2 block away and bicycle to the show.

Well, if you drive on a public street, that's a privilege, not a right. No expectation of privacy.

I wonder if Feds are urging local PD to track/scan plates of the agitators from BLM etc. when they "protest" "police brutality ".

Oh no, racial profiling is bad. We couldn't possibly have that.

Is it a privilege? And how does that affect your expectation of privacy? If you walk down the street is that a privilege or a right? Do you have any expectation of privacy walking vs. driving? Carrying a handgun is a privilege in Texas, correct? Yet it's guaranteed in the Constitution (or is it?). Who grants you privileges and are they subject to being taken away for any reason?
Do we have a right to be secure in our papers, persons,... and effects...from unreasonable search and seizure when driving...or only in our homes?
I think what it boils down to is that copying (automatically) down license numbers is not an unreasonable search, though that doesn't mean that the Feds should do it.

Actually it's something I have paid for, so more like a purchased service than a true privilege.

Not surprised...the government is very anti-Constitution, anti-freedom these days.
Well, anti-freedom unless you want to illegally enter the country then they are very much for freedom.
