Ginsburg Will Resign If (when)....

#1

Post by Glockster »

"There’s no need to beat around the bush, so I’m just going to go ahead and say it – I will resign my position as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States if that happens. I cannot imagine performing my duties under the constant pressure of waking up in the morning and having to go to work knowing that every ruling we as an institution make will be viewed through the prism of a Trump presidency. I can tolerate this charade of a presidential campaign, but I could not live with him as president,” she said.

Now that it appears I was fooled by the other story, maybe we ought to be suspicious of this one as well. The site doesn't look legit.

According to urban dictionary, Darth Vader Ginsburg is "A vampire-penguin that sits on the U.S. Spreme Court." :tiphat:

If only this was true. But I fear she is too devious to allow her replacement to be picked by Trump.

If Clinton wins, or if Trump wins and she doesn't resign, the House needs to vote articles of impeachment. Then the Senate needs to convict her and remove her from the Court. She continues to make these improper statements and is not fit to sit on the SCOTUS.

:iagree:
Being as the SCOTUS is tasked with keeping the legislative branch AND the executive branch in check constitutionally, She is basically saying she doesn't want to do her job...

Oh, sir, do I certainly agree with you. In fact, I thought that back when she told an interviewer (in South Africa, I believe), that no nation should use the US Constitution as a model. The SCOTUS is charged with deciding law based on Constitutionality...how can any of them do that if they don't even respect the basis for all law in this nation? Shameful in the extreme.

It's a false report. Resigning because Trump is elected would be a blow to her liberal/progressive agenda. Trump would be able to nominate two Justices instead of just the one immediately after his nomination.
Here is the Snopes take on it.

:iagree:

She is so far off the ledge with many of her recent comments that I think she may actually be suffering from some form of dementia.

Aw man, great job finding that but that is too bad that it isn't true then! Sure sounded believable as it fit well with what she's previously said.
