Listening to the police scanner for Cleveland. There are large groups of Trump protesters. The cops are tracking some open carriers. So far, they haven't indicated the carriers have caused a problem. They really seem to be focused on the open carriers. I would be More concerned about the ones that have the gun hidden.

There appears to be some pockets of protesters that are getting a little chippy. One was just taken to a hospital and a few arrested.

It's only going to get more heated throughout the week.

Open carriers are now starting to confront BLM, anti-Trump folks and black Panthers. You can tell the cops are getting a little antsy about it all.

My fear is that someone is going to do something stupid and it will have negative consequences for all law abiding gun owners. Because whatever happens, it is the guns fault. Not the criminals fault. So they will say.

^This. I respect everyone's right to carry whenever and however they want to but if it was me, I'd be leaving my gun concealed in a deal like that. All it takes is a misunderstanding or other incident and you might end up with a target on your back. Similar to the guy who had the AR-15 at the Dallas incident who handed it over to police. That was a very wise move on his part.

At least a few of the photo descriptions said "military style semi-automatic rifle" instead of "assault weapon." Has there been a single problem with people carrying so far?

Probably because the soap opera going on inside the convention is overshadowing the protests outside.
