Haven't seen this here yet, so I wanted to share...Why AR!5
I shared this video to my FB page with the comment "I think our gov should be issuing AR 15s to us rather than trying to ban them... Listen to this guy, then tell me why I'm wrong"

Some time ago I sent a letter to my Congressman suggesting the same thing, that of taking a proactive approach by providing firearms for US citizens who wanted them. After all, NPR and PBS receive public funds (the First Amendment) so why not have the government fully fund the Second Amendment? And if the left wants a national firearm database it would include only "government issued" weapons. Not personal property.
The response was about what I expected, saying that "WE" didn't want the government deciding which firearms we could have...blah, blah, blah... Congressman Brain Babin (RINO-sellout and Boehner supporter).
Anyway, I still like the idea, so I'm with you.

Babin has been a very consistent, unwavering supporter of the second amendment.

Freshman Texas Congressman Chokes on Boehner Vote
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government ... r-boehner/

Finally, another Facebook reader, Terry Holcomb, Sr., posted the photo above and wrote, “So… Dr. Brian Babin breaks his campaign promise and his word on his very first vote. I will make sure to have that discussion with him when I see him.”

Somewhere between East Texas and Washington, DC, Dr. Babin’s “loud and clear message” appears to have been forgotten.
Following the "Present" vote Babin.
It is clear that a sub-committee chairmanship is more important to the gentle congressman than doing what is right by his district.

Great but I said he has been unwavering in his support for the 2nd Amendment. You got anything that shows otherwise?

Babin was sworn in and took an oath to uphold the Constitution. A condition of accepting the office. This goes for all of the Constitution and it is expected hat he follow and comply to that oath of office. But, he also ran as Tea Party Conservative and completely ignored those that elected him by voting "present". Instead he parlayed that initial vote for a committee Chairmanship given to him by Boehner. Pretty "self-serving"and against the values he campaigned on. If you want to accept that somehow its alright to lie and deceive those that elected him to office just because he's following his oath of office then you'll never understand the problem I and many others have with him.

I've been fooled by nothing. I'm simply trying to respect the forum rules and limit my discussion here to political matters involving the second amendment. From that standpoint, to my knowledge, Babin has been a consistent, unwavering supporter. Harry Reid has not. There is no comparison.

So what? So is every other Republican +/- a handful. This goes to character or lack of. If that doesn't matter to you, I'm fine with that. Others set their standards higher. To each his own.

Any issue I may, or may not, have with Babin, have nothing to do with the purpose of this thread, "Why AR 15". They would also not have anything to do with this forum, "Gun and/or Self-Defense Related Political Issues". His record is solid on this issue.

Your questioning of my standards wont bait me into disrespecting the purpose of the forum......Unlike yourself.
