Wow! That's a BIG number! That's an average of 58,065 per day counting weekends.

I'm betting Hillary will beat that record if elected. People are already starting to panic buy guns and ammo for fear of her nomination.

My only regret is I'm not part of those May numbers.

My family counted for one of those for May.

My wife and I each bought a gun in May but we both used our LTCs. Am I correct in assuming our purchases were not included in the FBI number?

This is correct. The FBI number is from the NICS background check, if you have a license to carry, that is your background check, and no NICS check is called in. So that number is probably a little lower than actual gun sales.

Interesting. So the more persons that are issued a permit throughout the USA the fewer reported FBI filings when purchases are made. Hmmm. So the million or so of us in the great State of Texas could purchase a firearm tomorrow and it would not even be part of the report. Could you imaging how mystified the anti's would be if that was revealed to them?
