NC High School Opening Indoor Shooting Range

I am putting this here because in a rational world rather than a politically correct one no news agency would see anything to report at all.

Though there are fewer schools participating in marksmanship activities than there used to be (particularly per capita) it still isn't THAT unusual to see a school JROTC program pursue having a range/team. These are almost always air rifle 10 meter setups and it's fairly simple to run a safe range, particularly in a program that stresses discipline.

Local area high schools around my neck of the woods pretty much all have JROTC (5 Army, 1 Marine, 1AF). At least 4 of them have an indoor air rifle range. One of the schools went to Nationals a couple of years back

Agreed. It baffles me how this made the news. It es essentially a non-event except for the JROTC students.
