4 dead in Katy Grayson Lakes murder/suicide

Coalition to Ban Guns blames father's conservatism, 9/11 truthing, and gun fetish for murders. From Facebook:

"A Texas gun nut/shooting Truther executed his family today, including his two children, ages 5 and 2. Then he killed himself. Never let anyone tell you our weak gun laws have anything to do with "freedom.""

I read about this. Very sad.

It's getting more difficult, but I try to ignore all of the ignorant stuff posted on FB.

Too many people share a lot of garbage and misinformation without even a second thought.

Yes, WildBill, a lot of it is garbage and misinformation. But it's a bigger problem when that is the only version of events that gets heard, so it becomes "fact" due to not being challenged. For instance, they said the guy's name like he was someone big in the shooting world; I never heard of him, have you? And we're a pretty big bunch of "gun nuts" on this forum. From what I can see of his FB page, he ran an LED light business for vehicles like Jeeps and he played those online slot machine games, not much else showed. So, if you weren't "FB friends" with him, how would you even know what was on his page? Those people at CSGV are real low-lives and, if I'm able, I do my best to refute the garbage they put out.

That is certainly very sad. The proper reaction is to keep their family and friends in our prayers. The improper reaction is to blame the tools used for the evil act committed with them. Anyone who thinks that this wouldn't have been committed with a machete or a baseball bat were guns not available is just willfully ignorant.
I prefer dangerous freedom to safety in chains.

Let's go Brandon.
