Stand Firm & Assert Rights

#1

Post by Jim Beaux »

A couple of years ago the cable company instructed me to exchanged a faulty modem at a local service center. I explained to them that I couldnt because the center had posted a 30.06.

Short story-after explaining my position I requested accommodation since I was banned from their facility. The accommodation resulted in over night shipment of an also defective modem- and then a service tech visit to exchange the faulty replacement--all at their expense.

Today, same situation as above occurred & again I politely explained my irritation of being discriminated against & banned from the service center. The tech person said he would mail a new modem and I would receive it in 3-5 days. I told him that this was unreasonable and I expected credit for not having reliable service. They will be sending a service tech in the morning.

The point of this post is to remind you that businesses will take the path of least resistance; and if they can get us to roll over they will continue to do so. Assert your rights and force these businesses to realize the burden of denying us of such-one day they will be forced to re-evaluate the cost of such an illogical policy-especially in view of the fact that we are the majority.

I will soon be visiting a couple of car dealerships. To those that may have 30.06 :nono: posted I will politely explain why I must do business with another that allows me to enter their show room.

Comport yourself, be courteous & assert your rights. As customers we are a valuable commodity-let them know how many we are. :thewave
