After more and more of the story comes out, I am curious what some of y'all would have done. Not many people in the theater. He had a hatchet, pepper spray, and a pellet gun. Apparently he only used the pepper spray on the people, yet was carrying the pellet gun. My question is if he did use the spray and your vision is impaired, do you even draw your weapon? As far as I can tell, there was no life or death situation, but there could have been if he brandished the pellet gun.

my opinion, a man discharging pepper spray in one hand while holding a hatchet in the other is a life threatening threat. (redundant maybe, but y'all know what I mean)

A person deploying a debilitating chemical agent in my vicinity, while holding any weapon, places me in a life or death situation.

I spent 34 years riding to the sound of the guns. That's not my mission anymore. Now, I fight like a cornered cat. My primary mission is to get my charges to safety. Deploying my sidearm is my last option, not my first.
