Joshua Lancaster, a spokesperson from the office of Governor Jerry Brown, made the following statement to the press, “The time to make clear cut changes surrounding our current gun laws is here. The ban on this unnecessary ammunition is a major step towards a safer society for our children. There are no obvious or justifiable reasons for one to own or use semi-automatic handgun ammunition of that caliber, if 9mm and .40 S&W rounds are sufficient for our police force to protect us with, they are sufficient for any private citizen’s personal protection.

Geez, I was wondering if this was an onion-like spoof site. Truth is stranger than fiction.
As if anyone needed proof they are certifiably wacko:

Frankly, I wish it was no longer part of the United States.California officials are confident in their ability to show a drastic reduction to violent crimes well before the end of the year and are hopeful the ban will be implemented on a federal level prior to then.

According to this, the link is to a fake news site. I was wondering why this hadn't come up. I would have thought Calguns would have raised a storm on a ban like that.

Re: California bands 45 ammo.
Simple solution. Just start selling it with the actual caliber/bullet dimensions. .45ACP would be .452 and remove the Auto part of the description. Since the .45 colt is not included then just come out with a .45C2 designation for the .45acp. This one should go to Supreme Court. It's just an end run on banning guns.

The problem is you can never be completely sure with Kalifornia. Those folks are smoking some funny stuff out there and have been for decades.CoffeeNut wrote:It's fake

Even if it wasn't a fake story, it would not surprise me. Nothing coming out of that loony state would shock me anymore.

Re: California bands 45 ammo.
So... Is "45 Ammo" any good? I mean CA has given us some good bands before, so we should at least give them a chance, right?

I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

I never fall for this stuff but I did this time. You scared the living jeepers out of me.
