I person could be the richest man in the world if he started a news network that was truly accurate and fair. It would stand out as the only one in the world.

Very few people want the truth. The vast majority are too enthralled with tweeting, facebooking, reality shows, and celebrity worship while they spend their government freebies to care.

You nailed that one! And the news and sports media only have about 10% of their allotted time for regular programming. The other 90% is used for advertising.

I've also noticed when watching news coverage of a shooting incident, they put an 'official' up for the interview, but they "can't answer that because there's an active investigation' !

It may seem like that, but actually roughly 15% is advertising- the rest is programming. Each network is different, but this is close to standard.

I can only speak for myself.

I don't tweet.

I don't Facebook.

I can barely spell soshal meedia much less use it.

I don't watch any broadcast tv much less reality shows.

I despise the vast majority of celebrities.

If I could get away with it I would chunk my cell phone but it is a means of communicating with my grandchildren.
