This story is driving me nuts

On the news today - http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Frisco ... 89291.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - a day care worker in Frisco climbed up a structure and looked in a neighbor's yard. What was seen there caused some mothers to have the vapors.
Parents were shaken up after a teacher at Kids 'R' Kids of Lawler Farm said she saw a neighbor shaking a gun case and yelling profanities near their playground Wednesday.
The neighbor was in their own yard. A gun was never seen. But a gun case (supposedly) caused the day care to call the police and go into lockdown. Seriously. You can't make this stuff up.

And you think OC would be accepted? My God! These people panicked over a gun case. Not a gun. Just a case. SMH. This country is collapsing under the weight of pure idiots. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

“They were very happy when they came home last night, running and playing. So it’s pretty cool to see their innocence was protected and they had no idea what happened,” said Kendle.

Their innocence could have been corrupted by a "gun case" and profanities that no one heard but a teacher? It also says the police are investigating because some type of offence occurred and they want to get the right charge? You can't say what you want in your own yard now? You can't carry around a case on your own property now?

Texas law allows citizens the right to have a gun on their own property, but Bruce said some type of offense occurred.

“We just have to find out what the severity is, and make sure we are filing the correct charge,” said Bruce.
The next question is what was he yelling? That would make a lot of difference here.

Btw, open carry seems to be doing fine elsewhere.

It wouldn’t matter if the only one that heard it was one teacher.

That is yet another question the story doesn't provide an answer to. I agree that it certainly appears a bit ridiculous but for PD to state that there definitely was a violation does raise more questions that we don't have answers to.

I'm more concerned about the Peeping Tom who works in childcare.

Thanks

This does paint a different picture. It also raises more questions we don't have answers to.

“some type of offense occurred” and “make sure we are filing the correct charge,” usually means she didn’t break the law but we are trying to find a charge to arrest her on anyway.

So we have two articles that are equally ineffective at providing any relevant information about an incident that resulted in some sort of police activity. Not only would I like to know what actually happened, I'm curious about the background. It's not very common for neighbors to just up and start threatening each other out of the blue. What's been happening up until this alleged incident occurred???

Another TV station picked up on what appears to be an ongoing not-so-silent feud. http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2015/02/05/fris ... y-daycare/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My initial response....sounds like a swatting to me. Teacher in urban area = liberal, anti gun (playing the odds). Climbing to spy....looking to cause trouble. An MDA type looking to wreak havoc or someone with a grudge.

When my son worked as a security guard, years ago, his boss had someone call the cops on him after seeing him through his kitchen window cleaning a handgun. Could have been an MDA type before their time, or an idiot from one of the people's republics. But hey, a gun case is even more dangerous...you can see the handgun, for example, but who knows what is in that gun case....why, could be a tactical nuke in there even.

In that article, they talk about the homeowner (may have been a different incident) using a recording device to check noise levels, and daycare reporting him for "filming" the kids.

Sounds like a "bad neighbor" feud escalating, with the casual reader having no way of knowing who really started the nonsense.

From what I read, it is more than one neighbor having problems with the day care center.
